- Past research found that certain groups are particularly vulnerable to weather events, such as mobile home residents (Rumbach et al. 2020) or non-English speakers (Trujillo-Falcón et al. 2022).
- Florida receives numerous types of life-threatening weather, including tropical cyclones and tornadoes (Storm Prediction Center).
- This research focuses on identifying where the greatest weather risk exists in Florida, focusing on Florida’s most vulnerable populations.
