Abstract
Groundbreaking for the Special Events Center, located just north of the University Center, in November 1988. The building occupied part of Crescent Hill, a popular gathering spot for students. Despite some opposition, the Special Events Center was completed. It was torn down less than 20 years after it opened, to make way for an enlarged Marshall Student Center. Photo from "USF" magazine, 1989.
