Abstract
The Curtis Peterson Academic Center was the first building to house classes at the USF Lakeland campus, which shared space with Polk Community College. Opened in 1988, the building was named for the state senator who pushed through financing for a USF campus in Lakeland. The campus was renamed USF Polytechnic in 2008 and removed from the USF system in 2011. Photo from "Inside USF" staff newsletter.
