The Oracle (Print Editions)
The University of South Florida's student newspaper The Oracle replaced the Campus Edition of the Tampa Daily Times in 1966. Run by student journalists with a faculty advisor, there is no better resource for learning about daily life on campus and beyond.
The Oracle documents the changing cultural landscape of college life at USF like no other. Students and administrators jousted over more control of the newspaper in the 1960s. Student journalists shook things up by revealing multiple scandals and covering student recreation and activist movements.
This collection includes digitized print editions. Issues from the years 1966-1969 and 1971-1980 are available digitally, and the full print run is available in Special Collections.
