Abstract
Andy Huse interviews outgoing University of South Florida President Judy Genshaft about her almost two decades of leadership at USF. Genshaft discusses her academic career from her beginnings as a professor at Ohio State University to her transition to administration at the University at Albany, SUNY. She reviews the progress she has overseen at USF since 2000, including rapid growth in enrollment, expansion of the university’s physical assets, improvements in the university’s academic reputation, and the recent preeminence designation by the Florida Board of Governors. Genshaft also discusses her personal financial contributions to the university, totaling over $30 million, including $20 million for the Judy Genshaft Honors College, and her vision for USF’s future.
