Abstract
In the fall of 2011, the Academic Resources Unit of Tampa Library officially launched Scholar Commons, the University of South Florida’s (USF’s) institutional repository (IR), as a virtual showcase for research and creative energies. Scholar Commons provides digital preservation and free, open access to all scholarly works produced by the USF Community. Scholar Commons will be a vehicle to drive research communication across disciplines and the globe.
This is the first annual report of the IR at USF Tampa, however this review covers the history of the IR beginning in December of 2007. This was done so that a compare to this years statistics could be made, as well as providing needed documentation for the history of these years. In the conclusion we have offered our measurements and goals for the future.
