Abstract

In this oral history, Andy Huse interviews Harrison Giddens, who served on the Tampa Theatre Foundation as a member of the Board of Directors and currently works as a part-time employee at Tampa Theatre. Giddens discusses the reopening of Tampa Theatre and her experiences on the theater’s board. She recounts some of Tampa Theatre’s fundraising events. In this interview, Giddens reflects on her earlier career as a florist and explains some of her duties in her current part-time position at Tampa Theatre, focusing on organizing fundraising activities. Giddens also explains her role in donor relations and the procurement of donations by forging strong connections with donors. Additionally, Giddens describes changes to Tampa Theatre over the years, mainly focusing on the innovative ways in which Tampa Theatre has adapted.
