Abstract
Keith Arsenault, general manager of the New Tampa Performing Arts Center, discusses the revitalization of downtown Tampa in the 1900s. He describes the development of Franklin Street and the establishment of Franklin Street Mall. Arsenault illustrates the various organizations and meetings formed to determine the utility of downtown Tampa and its performing arts centers. Keith Arsenault highlights the different events held at the downtown venues such as the shows he attended. He also shares his early experiences as a band member and offers his thoughts on the significance of the Tampa Theatre.
