Abstract
Gary Ratliff recounts his experience as the former stage manager at the Tampa Theatre. He discusses how he first came to work for the Tampa Theatre and his experiences there up until his retirement. Ratliff provides a unique perspective on the maintenance of a historic theater, detailing some of the day-to-day duties and responsibilities involved. He describes how the theater has changed over the years and recalls the theater scene in downtown Tampa during the 1960s. Ratliff also highlights the evolution of technology used at the Tampa Theatre.
