Abstract
The “Navigating Environmental Changes: Placencia Peninsula Voices & Local Expertise” event, hosted on July 24, 2024, at the Placencia Village Basketball Court, was a significant step in strengthening community-centered environmental research and action in Belize. Organized as part of the NSF-funded Strong Coasts Coastlines and People (CoPe) project, this two-part event was designed as a way to share research findings with the communities and partners who have been central to the project’s success.
