Abstract

In this interview, Larry Minogue details his experience growing up as a gay man in the American South. Moving across the South and Midwest, from Kentucky and Ohio to Georgia and finally Florida, Minogue recounts his experiences with his own identity as both a gay man and a member of the Baptist faith, his impressions of LGBTQ+ culture in Cincinnati, Louisville, and Atlanta in the mid to late 20th century, and how the HIV/AIDS pandemic effected his life and lives of those around him.
