Abstract
Michael "Mike" Flannery recalls his experiences with St. John Vianney Catholic School and parish. He remembers his family's relocation to St. Pete Beach in the early seventies, participation in school and parish life, and his continued community involvment overtime. Mike addresses the role of the parish in shpaing social networks, religious practices, community identity, and the demographic changes after the impact of Hurricane Helene on the school and surrounding area.
