Abstract
Sisters Joanne Wilson and Trudy Strong discuss their lives and experiences as circus performers in the latter half of the twentieth century. The interview opens with a discussion of their parents and grandparents in the circus, and continues with their performances as children, their experiences with aerial work, and training and working with circus animals. They also discuss social and physical aspects of working in a circus, and close the interview with talking about some of the projects they are currently involved in.
