Note
This sculpture depicts a fallen female warrior from Greek mythology, an Amazonian soldier. She wears a short, pleated chiton with one breast bared. A broken spear lies besides her on the rocky plinth, or base. This is typically considered a free adaptation of a figure from the "Lesser Attalid Dedication" on the Athenian acropolis, attributed to Pergamos. This work is part of the Farnese Collection and is currently held at the Naples National Archaeological Museum, Italy.
