Note

This marble votive relief depicts mortal families or groups leading an animal to an altar for sacrifice before deities or heroes. Objects of this type would have been set up as a commemorative offering in ancient Greek sanctuaries to mark personal devotion or appreciation. This relief is 40 cm in height. The object is currently housed in the National Archaeological Museum, Athens.
