Note

This statue was located in the House of the Diadoumenos in Delos, Greece in 1894. This copy was made after a famous original by Polykleitos. It stands 1.95 meters in height. This is a prime example of contrapposto where one leg bears the weight of the body while the other rests. The distribution forces part of the pelvis to be more elevated, shaping the spine into an 'S' curve to make the body look more balanced. This piece is held at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece.
