Note

The North Entrance is the main northern access to the Palace of Knossos, a sloping ramped passage flanked by raised colonnaded bastions. This section connected the palace to the route leading towards the Minoan town harbor in the north. It served as both a functional gateway and a ceremonial display for visitors. This structure served as an architectural theatre combining symbolic power and cultural identity. Above the passage, on the wall of the western bastion is the restored Charging Bull relief fresco. In this scene is a charging bull set in a landscape surrounded by stylized olive trees. The version seen today is a replica and original fragments are in the Heraklion Archeological Museum, Greece.
