Note

This marble relief is typical of the Greek Classical period but the creator is unknown, as well as its provenance. In the scene are six standing adults and one child arranged in a straight line, holding hands with the figure(s) next to them. They are all adorned in long, draped gowns and posed in a processional and formal manner. The subjects and style suggest a chorus of nymphs and graces. The figures glance at one another except for the central person who gazes outward at the viewer. It is currently housed at Naples National Archaeological Museum, Italy.
