Abstract

The Canon of the Mass forms the central texts of missals and contains the readings for the celebration of the Eucharist. This text contains Biel's exegetical commentary in a smaller typeface.

Decoration

Sixteen pages with single columns of black text each with two sizes of typeface, capital letters and decoration in red throughout. Woodblock (9 x 7) on first page depicting the crucifixion with the inscription vere filius erat iste (truly this was the son of God) above.

Binding

Non-contemporary binding with lettering on spine, "Biel, Misse / expositio. S.I. / typ. Et. A."
