Abstract

Seven large decorated headpieces featuring floral patterns and zoomorphic initials located on ff. 8v, 44r, 84r, 147r, 232v, 250v, and 269r. Three half-page headpieces with cusped arch design, floral patterns, and architectural motifs located on ff. 1r, 107r, and 186r. Several marginal decorations in purple, heavily cropped.

Binding: Contemporary binding of brown leather wrapped over wooden boards, with gilt border on front, back, and spine; with paper edged in red. Provenance: Sotheby's Western manuscripts and miniatures, Tuesday 18 June 2002, lot 30.
