Abstract

An all-African American Pepsi Cola Giants baseball team posing in front of their bus. Six of the 14 men photographed agreed to be identified. from left to right: the fourth player is manager Jim Maxey; the ninth player is Bay Gibbons; the 11th player is Bernard Fernandez; the 12th player is "School boy Allen"; and the 14th player is John Henry McQueen, a.k.a. "Tobacco John." the man in the bus is business manager David "Fat" Waitman.
