Note

This submission includes an MP3 file and a MusicXML file. The MusicXML file is provided to support access, reuse, and adaptation exclusively in music notation software, including MuseScore Studio, Sibelius, Dorico, and Finale. Braille music scores are available upon request.

Minor adjustments were made to the MusicXML file to ensure proper playback. The edits below were made to improve functionality while preserving the musical content.

  • In measure 7, an extra rest was removed from the second voice of the left hand to fit the time signature.
  • In measures 8 and 17, a tempo marking of dotted quarter note equal 61 was added for audio. In measure 10, a quarter rest was added at the start of the measure in the second voice of the right hand to maintain alignment.
  •  In measure 12, a floating rest was removed from the right hand, as it was unclear what it corresponded to, and all the notes fit within the measure without it.
  • In measure 13, a dotted quarter rest was added to both voices in the right hand to fill in blanks. In measure 14, the quarter rest in the vocal line was changed to an 8th rest to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 19, an 8th rest was added to the vocal line to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 23, the second set of three 8th notes in voice 1 of the right hand was set as a triplet to match the time signature. [Seems like he forgot to put the 3].
  • In measure 24, the time signature. was changed to 3/4 since all parts were missing a quarter beat. In measures 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, & 36, there are tempo markings indicating that a quarter note equals a dotted quarter, and vice versa.
  • MuseScore reads this as changing the tempo to 120, so a quarter note equals 94 was added for clarity in the audio.
  • In measure 26, the second-to-last note in the left hand was changed to an 8th to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 27, the second set of triplets was changed from quarter and dotted quarter to 8th and dotted 8th to fit the time signature. A clef change was added to the left hand, since the composer wrote voice 1 on the treble clef staff of the right hand.
  • In measure 28, the 8th rest was changed to a 16th rest to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 31, a clef change was added to the left hand, since the composer wrote voice 1 on the treble clef staff of the right hand.
  • In measure 33, a tempo marking was added to reflect Tempo I.
  • In measure 38, the middle three 8th notes in the left hand were made triplets to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 40, the dot was removed from the last 8th note in voice 2 of the right hand to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 45, Robert starts using equations for the time signature. Instead, I have changed it to 7/8 since that is 2 quarter notes [four 8th notes] plus three 8th notes.
  • In measure 50, the tempo marking "8th = 120" was added for audio. In measure 60, dots were added to the quarter notes in voice 2 of the left hand to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 61, a tempo marking of a dotted quarter note equal 69 was added for clarity in the audio. In measure 65 [64 in MuseScore], tempo marking was added to indicate the bpm for tempo II. In measure 68, the dots were removed from the quarter rests in the Voice part to fit the time signature.
  • In measure 69, an extra 16th was added to the tied G in the right hand to maintain alignment.
