Abstract
Notes that 2 important concepts in choosing from among several approaches to the MANOVA are redundancy of measurement and dimensionality of group differences. Discussed are procedures for determining redundancy and dimensionality and how they affect analysis and interpretation of multivariate data. Recommendations are given for analyzing the 4 possible types of data based on redundancy and dimensionality.
