Describes changes in the nature of office work by addressing 3 major topics: (1) what we know about technology's impact on office work, (2) the emerging areas of computer-supported cooperative work and augmented realities, and (3) implications for human resources management / 2 major themes emerge from the work described / technology in the office of the future will be most useful where it allows individual workers to utilize existing knowledge, skills, and abilities or augments those attributes turns to how technological changes will affect professional and clerical jobs in the future human-technology interfaces / ubiquitous computing / personnel selection / job design and organizational issues / training
