Abstract

Photograph of ships in the water near a shoreline of the city of Colón in the Republic of Panama. This photograph was taken during the research expedition of Dr. John C. Ogden and his colleagues to Miskito Bank, Nicaragua aboard the R/V [Research Vessel] Alpha Helix from October 13, 1977 to November 18, 1977 where their research included studies on seagrasses, fish, sea urchins, and the green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas). The R/V Alpha Helix docked in Colón, Republic of Panama after the first leg of the research expedition. After several days in port at Colón, the R/V Alpha Helix returned to the research location of Miskito Bank, Nicaragua.
