Abstract
Photograph of scientific researchers inside the Hydrolab, an underwater laboratory located on the seafloor which allowed scientists to live and work underwater for extended periods of time. Pictured, from left to right, are Dr. Clarendon Bowman of the University of Miami Medical School, Dr. John C. Ogden of the West Indies Laboratory, Nancy Ogden of the West Indies Laboratory, and Dr. Phillip Lobel of Harvard University. In this interior photograph of Hydrolab there are resting spaces, food storage spaces, and radio equipment shown. At the time of the photograph, Hydrolab was located at a depth of approximately 50 feet in Salt River submarine canyon, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
