Abstract
A dark-colored adult brown booby (Sula leucogaster) sits next to a white brown booby chick in a field of rocks and Portulaca oleracea. Additional birds are flying overhead. The photograph was taken on June 11, 1979, during a scientific research trip to Sombrero Island, Anguilla.
