Bleached Montastraea cavernosa and surrounding coral reef, photographed at the Pelican Shoal Deep Site, 50 feet, on October 29, 1997. Flora and sand surround the reef.

A large coral formation underwater with smaller corals growing on top of it, surrounded by blue water and marine plants. The surface of the main coral appears bumpy and textured.
