Abstract
A photograph of boulder star coral (Orbicella annularis), spread out on a sand bed in Tennessee Reef, Florida Keys.
Alt Text
An overhead view of a large underwater coral formation on the ocean floor. Viewed from this angle, most of the coral has a rounded, puffy shape not unlike that of a cloud, and all of it is covered in small stalks or bumps across its surface. Other part of the ocean environment, including a sandy floor, some sea grass, and other types of coral, are also present.
