Abstract
This second edition of Mental Health Services: A Public Health Perspective builds on the original volume by examining the critical issues in the organization, financing, delivery, and evaluation of mental health services in the United States. While it covers what we consider to be the core issues in mental health services delivery, providing a detailed examination of epidemiological, treatment, and policy issues in selected populations at risk, this edition also includes new chapters on special areas (criminal justice, co-occurring disorders, psychopharmacology, and mental health informatics) that have emerged as key concerns.
