Abstract
Howard Solomon, artist and creator of Solomon’s Castle in Ona, Florida, guides visitors through his hand-built, whimsical castle constructed entirely from repurposed materials. In this lively tour, Solomon describes his sculptures—crafted from discarded objects such as oil drums, car parts, beer cans, and coat hangers—while sharing humorous stories and puns that bring each piece to life. Visitors from Connecticut also reflect on the uniqueness and creativity of the site. The recording captures Solomon’s inventive spirit, his decades-long building process, which began in 1972, and the imaginative environment he created on his ninety-acre property along Horse Creek.
