Abstract
This video highlights the historical and cultural significance of Chinsegut Hill, the first property owned by the University of South Florida and a site central to the university’s early identity. Honors College students and campus leaders reflect on their personal experiences at Chinsegut Hill, emphasizing its value as a place for community building, heritage, research potential, and school spirit. Through their testimonies, the recording advocates for renewed preservation, awareness, and institutional support for this historic site, arguing that Chinsegut Hill remains essential to understanding and honoring the roots of USF.
