Abstract
Searching on keywords and subject headings is part of research, but sometimes you may suffer from too much of a good thing. Narrowing a search means you apply additional conditions to your search to focus your inquiry and limit the results. Limits may include a specific time span, a segment of the population, a geographic location, or another subset of your initial search. Learning to limit your results is a skill worth learning.
