Abstract
Web of Science is one of the fundamental databases for research in social science, science, and the arts and humanities. Selected articles may be downloaded to a citation management program. Web of Science has a unique feature: every article lists the forward-citations, that is, those articles that cited the article at hand. Between the bibliography (backward citation) and the forward citation, the researcher may trace the trajectory of an idea and the key authors on the topic.
