Abstract
This oral history presents the perspective of Stanley (Stan) Kroh, a long-serving board member and former parent at Learning Gate Community School. Kroh reflects on the school’s founding, governance, and evolution over its first twenty-five years including the school’s environmental mission, academic outcomes, leadership transitions, financial and operational challenges of charter governance, and the role of parent engagement in shaping institutional culture and sustainability.
