Abstract
This oral history interview documents the perspective of Catherine Hammer, a parent of three students who attended Learning Gate Community School. She discusses discovering the school through early childhood networks, her extensive volunteer involvement, the school’s play- and nature-based philosophy, and the positive impact of limited homework and outdoor learning on her children.
