Abstract
An oral history with Conan Dunham, a bisexual pastor who worked in unhoused ministries and hospice. Dunham was raised by their grandparents, one of whom was a traveling evangelist preacher, and their aunt and uncle who outted him to his family. They spoke of realizing they were gay when attending Boy Scouts and their short-lived marriage to a woman to help get her away from an abusive father. Dunham spoke of coming to terms with their sexuality and working with the psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Anthony Harris. They talked about their varied jobs including with the police and as a member of a band. Dunham talked about meeting Walter Cronkite and Harvey Milk and Dunham's partner. Dunham also spoke about the White Night riots after the assassination of Harvey Milk and how the visibility of gay people has changed since he was outed.
