Abstract
Report prepared by the Water Quality Monitoring Program of the Southwest Florida Water Management District (May 2001). This report, entitled The Hydrology and Water Quality of Springs in west-central Florida, combines and condenses into one document a wealth of information collected during previous water-quality studies performed by the Water Quality Monitoring Program (WQMP) at the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). The report is designed to present the reader with an up-to-date catalog of some of the larger and better known springs within the District, summarize nearly 10 years of research conducted on springs, and provide a detailed description of the chemistry of spring waters throughout the SWFWMD.
