Proceedings of two symposia from the Second Australian Rock Art Research Association (AURA) Congress, held in Cairns in August and September 1992. The 14 papers deal with research relating to the dating of rock art and to the role of rock art in understanding the culture and environment of its creators. North American and European sites are also described. Includes photographs, diagrams, maps and a bibliography.
