Abstract

In this article, is presented a proposition for the analysis and interpretation of the rock art of a particular site, La Cueva del Río San Jerónimo. I propose, for this analysis, to consider the site as a micro-universe wich would should contain all the elements necessaries for the comprehension of it´s meaning. The site will be understood as a unity constructed, not only by the shown cultural elements, but also as the totality of the space culturally used for the construction of a text (the cave, the environment of the site, etcetera). Because each one of this elements may be used to construct meaning as well as any other sign.
