Abstract

The present thesis is the first of its kind in Switzerland and deals with caves, their genesis and their sedi- ments. Through observations in caves, tectonic infor- mation could also be extracted. This study thus re- flects the kind of observations that can be made in caves, however biology, archeology, and climatology are not presented here
