Abstract

We had measured water level and water temperature in 13 caves of Bükk on 17 measuring sites between December 3, 2005 and the summer of 2007, and in some cases until today; and on four sites, water conductivity. The measurement took place partly in cave streams, partly in syphons (syphon lakes). (The actual measurements were done by the Marcel Loubens Cave Research Association, led by Béla Juhász and László Kiss. They contributed to the measurements greatly. Emese Ildikó Lénárt and Péter Sűrű also took part in it as university students. The data processing was done fully by László Lénárt.) During the job partly measurement data series, partly reactions to precipitation was evaluated. (How fast the given measuring site reacted to external precipitation, and how great was the fluctuation, and how long was the decresing and the increasing side of the flow diagram.) Finally the charts were compared to the values measured in the monitoring wells and springs of the Bükk Karst Water Monitoring System. Based on the measurement data was decided in which cave do we wish to (able to ) continue the measurements.
