Abstract

Archäologische Notstandsarbeiten im Rancho Ina, Quintana Roo. Die umfangreichen Vermessungen und Notgrabungen auf dem Rancho Ina an der Ostküste Quintana Roos, wo in Zukunft die Firma Calica Kalkstein abbauen wird, erbrachten wichtige Ergänzungen zu den bisher bekannten Gebäuden und intessante Detailfunde, die allerdings noch vorläufig sind. Sie datieren hauptsächlich in die frühklassische und postklassische Periode. Rancho Ina grenzt an den bedeutenden Maya Ort Xcaret. Salvage archaeology at Rancho Ina, Quintana Roo. The article presents the preliminary results of the salvage archaeology carried out on the grounds which border on the important site of Xcaret and where the Calica Company is to quarry limestone on a large scale. The mapping of an extensive area and the excavations provide important new data on building complexes and related details of the site, pertaining mainly to the Early Classic and Postclassic periods.
