Abstract

This paper describes the pseudokarst landforms in sandstones of the Onzole Formation developed in the watersheds of the Carrizal and Barro rivers draining to La Esperanza Reservoir. Controlling factors of the pseudokarstification development and particularly the effect of the secondary currents and the formation of the helicoidally flows linked to the water movement in the reservoir. Some aspects rlated with the assessment and engineering management of the site are discussed.
