Abstract

The Crouzade cave (Gruissan, Aude) has delivered a large collection of remains of the Middle Palaeolithic (industry, fauna and human remains) during the H´el´ena excavations, in the 1920 to 1946. Updating of data by resuming excavations on this deposit and the dates produced by different methods allow these collections to be replaced. midday Mediterranean in their chronocultural context and constitute an original milestone in the western European mosquito sphere.
