Abstract

Slender, solid metal object has a flattish, slightly domed nail head top. The cylindrical shaft tapers to a point that has been broken away. The object is pierced by a bore between 9.0 and 9.5 cm. below the head. The bore is closed with corrosion but it appears to be reinforced on either side by a collar.

A three-dimensional model of a long, thin piece of tapered, cylindrical metal with an open, circular section at its middle, possibly used as a sewing or textiles needle. The wider head of the object is flat on top and slightly rounded. The 3D model can be freely moved, rotated, and zoomed in and out to allow the viewer to inspect the object from multiple angles. A small, still image of the object is also included, with the object against a white background and a measurement scale in centimeters below it.
