Abstract

The item was acquired by Dr. Farid Karam in Lebanon. Circular molded lamp with two handles. The nozzle protrudes from the perimeter of the circle. The upper face is concave and decorated with 14 petals radiating from the well in the center. A shallow ridge is defined by two troughs around the apex of the loops. The ridge terminates on either side of the nozzle by scrolling outward. The base is flat and defined by a groove.

A three-dimensional model of a shallow, beige-colored ceramic vessel with a concave top engraved with rounded, decorated elements around a central, circular hole, creating a sort of flower shape. A large spout extends from the rim of the vessel. The 3D model can be freely moved, rotated, and zoomed in and out to allow the viewer to inspect the object from multiple angles. A small, still image of the object is also included, with the object against a white background and a measurement scale in centimeters below it.

Color: Greyish brown. View description: Overhead view. Condition: Very good. The 3D model of this object was created under the supervision of Dr. Davide Tanasi. The artifact was captured free-hand in three artifact orientations with a digital camera. The operator physically moved around the object in an open space. It was captured from two camera angles, high and straight on. The artifact was sitting upright in the first orientation and upside-down in the second orientation, stabilized with a foam base. In the third artifact orientation the object was sitting on its nose, supported by a foam base. The 3D model was created using 142 images out of 150 images in Agisoft Photoscan.
