JOMETR ISSUE 1
Journal of Mediterranean Tourism Research Beginning
Journal of Mediterranean Tourism Research (JOMETR) is a semi annual refereed scientific journal which started its publications in 2021. Journal of Mediterranean Tourism Research (JOMETR) is a social sciences journal focusing upon the academic studies of tourism including travel and hospitality management, tour guiding, gastronomy and culinary arts, food and beverage management, recreation/leisure management. While JOMETR is dedicated to publishing both genuine conceptual and empirical studies in the field of tourism, it makes sure that an ethical balance of theory and application is formed by bringing both academics and practitioners into the industry. To manage this, JOMETR has planned its strategies to create a platform where a multidiscipline approach is encouraged from various disciplines interacting and contributing to the development of tourism literature. In this role, JOMETR invites a multidisciplinary community of both academics and researchers. In our first year of publication which we started with the aim of being a reference point for helping researchers’ social scientific studies to reach readers and other researchers, we are having the pride and joy of publishing our first issue. We believe that we provided significant contributions to social sciences with 6 applied research in our first issue. We would like to thank all our staff, referees and authors who contributed the first issue of Journal of Mediterranean Tourism Research (JOMETR) and we wish you all peace, success and well being.
