Abstract

A wooden gavel given to Malcolm Beard from the Interbay Boys' Club. Malcolm Beard served as the Sheriff of Hillsborough County from 1965 to 1978.

A three-dimensional model of a wooden gavel with a long, thin handle stained to a medium brown color. The outer layers of the gavel's head use the same color wood stain as the handle, while the center of the head is stained to a much darker brown. A small, black plaque bolted to the head of the gavel tells says that it was, "Made and Presented by Interbay Boys' Club to MALCOLM E. BEARD, President of Boys' Club Tampa - 1969." The model can be moved, rotated, and zoomed in and out, allowing the viewer to examine the object's details from multiple angles.
