Alt Text
A three-dimensional model of a portable, mobile version of an older-style police terminal. The terminal consists of a QWERTY keyboard positioned below a number pad and a small CRT screen. On a panel separating the num-pad and screen from the keyboard are the letters "DXT," likely the model or brand of the device. Notably, though the keyboard does have arrow and number keys like a computer keyboard, its compact layout required the exclusion of some of the keys for punctuation, such as the key for a comma/quotation mark. This results in the symbols achieved by hitting the "Shift" key plus a number key being in a different order than they are on an average computer keyboard. The num-pad includes a large, red key labeled "EMERG," which when pressed would, presumably, alert other officers or phone operators to danger. The model can be moved, rotated, and zoomed in and out, allowing the viewer to examine the object's details from multiple angles.
